Paddlefish Kayak Rentals wants to see you on the water!

Our mission is to make kayaking available to those who would like to enjoy time paddling on the local lake.

Thinking of purchasing a kayak, but want to "test-paddle" before the commitment?

Enjoy kayaking but don't want the hassle of transporting your own?

Just visiting the area and looking for something to do?

We offer a seamless drop off and pick up service at Camp Ernst Lake in Boone County, Kentucky.

*All kayak rentals include a paddle and a life vest.

Booking info

1. Choose Your Ride

Browse our collection of kayaks and choose the one that speaks to you! We are growing our fleet, but currently have sit on top LIFETIME brand kayaks, PERCEPTION brand tandem kayaks, as well as foldable origami ORU Lake Sport kayaks.

2. Booking One or Multiple Kayaks

When you have decided which floating vessel you desire, simply click "book" to proceed to the booking page. You will then be able to choose your day and time for us to meet you at the lake and drop off your rental kayak.

If you would like to book a second kayak on the same order, please scroll to the bottom to click and add another booking. You will be directed back to the page to choose another kayak to add.

After successfully filling out the booking info and payment for your kayak rental you will receive email confirmation. A reminder will be sent via text/email 1 hour prior to your booking time. A waiver will need to be electronically signed at the time of equipment drop off by the responsible party, age 18 or older.

3. What to Expect

EXPECT TO GET WET! Some splashing is typical when paddling so expect to touch water in some aspect.

After your rental time is confirmed, plan to meet Paddlefish Kayak Rental staff at the boat launch area of Camp Ernst Lake. Location address is 7615 Camp Ernst Road, Burlington KY 41005.

Our Staff member will have you sign the waiver (a copy of the waiver can be found at the bottom of our webpage so you can read it before heading to the lake), show you about the kayak, assure you have Paddlefish contact info, and leave you to paddle, float and explore the lake. They will return to pick up the kayak 2 hours later at the same place it was dropped off to you.

Feel free to bring snacks and drinks aboard if you so desire!

WEAR SHOES THAT CAN GET WET! When entering and exiting the kayak it is probable that you will step in an inch or more of water depending on how close to the landing area your kayak is "docked."

*If you are bringing a pet along, please make sure they have their own life vest flotation device*
